Aside from working in practice Jonathan supports the dental charity Dentaid as a member of the board of trustees and has helped them in research projects, specifically on the subject of IOM (infant oral mutilation). In 2004 and 2007 he travelled to Tanzania to deliver dental aid alongside a charity called ‘Bridge2Aid’ and offered a chance to see first hand the huge problem of dental disease in these areas. In 2014 the practice started an alliance with ‘Kinga Africa’ by funding a dentaid box to be sent out for use with their work on dental prevention in Kenya. It is an aim to see communities benefit from the great work dentaid does and this alliance is an exciting venture.
